I wake up to stifling heat. The news shows an arctic blast in the north, so I daydream.
Transported to the snow, I hear the sweet made-up song of a wren and what I think might be the sound of crispy snow.
Jolted back to reality, a sparrow sits on the fence, laughing at me.
