overwhelms

Assist the night

Stay up until the light

Reading tonight

loose snow falls

from the evergreen pine

upon your face

sitting
fresh winds blow
frosty grass crunches
evergreen trees remain

Serious;
yet when you
say, “Hello“,
I take the piss.

candles many
blankies set
cakey baked
aglow we sit
watching

troubled and brilliant
he evaluates the scene
always the detective

You’re so serious,

yet you act like such a weirdo.
