The grey sky grumbles
Feet covered in moss and dirt
Dressed for the Summer
Take no prisoners
Carp Diem, this one true life
Aggressive woman
Watching the coffee
Toast takes flight from the toaster
Tomato sauce bread

The grey sky grumbles
Feet covered in moss and dirt
Dressed for the Summer
Take no prisoners
Carp Diem, this one true life
Aggressive woman
Watching the coffee
Toast takes flight from the toaster
Tomato sauce bread
the light from within
slowly cloaked by the darkness
yet the light remains
droplets of coffee
mixing with a dark desire
to be at the top
the light flickers low
slowly, the candle burns low
darkness is coming
a broken pump heel
filth from the competition
in the next office
light re-emerging
candle finds a way to burn
you walk your own path
The gloaming fades slow
into the cloudy darkness
where there are no stars
The whispering night
scintilla of loneliness
too far from our home
a furball, small meow
rolling in kitty litter
sleeping mid meow
the smallest furball
looking towards the sunlight
I found my best friend
You are so far down.
The rose falls upon you, yet
you are so far down.
No more discussions
about what you did last week.
No more of your voice.
Now dead and buried.
A pang of regret grips me;
I missed seeing you.
