Thinking thoughts of you
A reflective song plays rain
Sitting without you

We sit quietly

waiting for the New Year chime

with a sense of hope

A Northern Vision
Forest vibrations and snow
This Merry Yuletide

strong and courageous
take whatever is dished out
marshmallow inside

Two Haiku: A Weekend Away

longing for something
you keep feeling everything
knowing of nothing

missing your essence
longing to see you again
keep thinking the worst

I sit without you
in the quiet nighttime hours
writing poetry

hypnotic snowflakes
a forest shrouded in my
warm winter dreaming

Walking up the street,
oblivious to the wind;
skirt above your head.

Paws pounce in the night
the whispering trees greet the
naughty Seraphim

clear, cool winter sky
revealing hidden colours
only for my eyes
