From storm Spring rainbows
to the pale pastels of a
frost Winter sunset
Watch the sunset one more time
Leave the office that keeps you

the sun lit silk threads
a fly buzzes within the
sticky spider web
alert from the vibrations
scurrying towards dinner

Plant adorned cafe
a serving of rich brownies
expecting results
After three, spoons are funny
No hash, just a lil sugar

The maddening grey
You, conjuring memories
The charm bracelet sways
Lightning strikes the ancient tree
The thundering rain soaks you

Blinds hide the sunlight
another financial year
letting some light in
The quarterly budget tears
shining sunlight on the screen

Winter rain windscreen
The week’s collection of thoughts
Together we sit
Feeling the whispering rain
Waiting for more time alone

The winter night comes.
Pastel persimmon and pink,
with fiery orange.
The sky turns to violet,
indigo and the darkness.

The thunderous rain
a promise made between two
The cat meows, “No!”
Heavy rain becomes a storm
a promise broken again

Watching the sparrows
Birds become interesting
sitting by the sill
a spiritual knowing
mesmerised by the gossip

The forest is near
a deepening of onyx
The moonlit shadows
a vision of the wild sea
The house lights are my lighthouse
