A cloud hides the sun.
The temptation to nap comes;
the sun leaves the cloud.
Determined to take a nap,
closing every single blind.

Rain running down my worn view
The fur children wait
You are eating Japanese
I wait for home on the train

Darkness before dawn
silence lingers in absence
Sleeping humans dream
Driving the streets of the dead
Shapes and illusions guide me

words in solitude
letters written on parchment
pouring his soul out
folded and tied with ribbon
treasure chests full of stories

Wind moves the plain trees
a chill moves in from the south
Autumn’s arrival
by afternoon, summer comes
An illusive season change

A tiny laptop
double the glasses won’t help
The trendy workplace
Frustrate the fuck out of me
Shit goes flying in my mind

The last of the trees
endorsed by a rubber stamp
No cares for the rain
dust and a worsening drought
Children playing politics

the flame reflection
caught by your grey almond eyes
emotions waiver
the candle flame catches your heart
unable to turn away

My overcast hair
a shock in a youthful world
Clutching the kettle
Melbourians stare at me
An invisible kettle
