A dream from space,
watching the Earth from the heavens.
Insignificant in size,
wars and genocide ravage the planet.
Up here is the quiet,
a place for contemplation and dreaming.
A jolt from the cat,
the reality of humanity fills the room with
Our Sadness.
Mum’s nature stories
Dreaming of the grass, rain, trees
Earth is a feeling
We look at each stone and gem
Longing for Earth while on Mars
The expanse between heaven and earth,
whispering trees tell the clouds many secrets.
Twilight shimmers off the pond water,
and poets contemplate the beauty of the sky.
Talking to the trees hoping they’ll respond,
I think of the many ways to describe you.
Different colours bleed
chaos across the Earth
Mother nature decided
to take it all back
In the pandemonium
we didn’t listen
Now she will make us listen
Now we will have to hear her
Now our world will change
So that in the future
we will all have her
A wandering mind travels so far,
admiring your mineral collection.
Will we find planets like tourmaline?
My mind travels into the darkness,
hoping we find a place as Earth dies.
