Kisses and Curses
In my bed dreaming,
dreaming about someone else,
a fictional someone else.
You sleep deeply and still.
Am I wrong to dream of another?
Another life, another lover.
In my bed awake,
awake thinking about kisses and curses,
wanting to touch you now.
Haiku: This Land
Echoes of this land
blood, bone and broken dreaming
A song we know plays
Sinful Touch
A sinful touch.
Stroking the surface,
melting the outsides.
Running off and
dripping on the ground;
Salted caramel balls
with dark chocolate.
Haiku: Cakey
Cereal be gone!
Honey no longer needed,
cakey for breakfast.
Haiku: Cake Craving
wanting cake right now
sucking dough off the beater
finding a small tin
Empty Rooms
A menacing space.
Too empty and too full,
the space creates uneasiness
and awareness of the self.
Too empty to sit, too full to stand.
The conflict within a series of empty rooms
brings many fears that haunt the voyeurs to the fore
once they pass from the gallery.
Haiku: Nomadic
A lengthy train trip
Rolling through the countryside
Belonging nowhere
Haiku: Strawberry Sunshine
Blooming sweet nectar
Summertime garden party

Being Different

A suppressed longing,
sitting quiet and numb.
The clock strikes eight,
prodding and poking.
Emotions feel fluid,
a free-flowing river.
Jumbled emotions;
medical instruments
seem to be colder.
Every hole examined,
nothing remains empty,
anoetic consciousness.
Unknowing becomes
knowing, as you move
into thought and action.
Stripped naked and bare,
as white-coated figures
take what you love away.
No choices remain,
being different is a sin,
you’d rather be dead.
