Morning Joy
manufactured morning joy
excessive coffee drinking
crying sorrow by lunchtime
Breath of Darkness
A forest dream
under the full moon.
The wolves run wild,
an owl hoots,
the trees whisper words
you cannot understand.
A silvery moon
hides behind the clouds.
The shiver up your spine,
flesh touches flesh,
a warm breath of darkness
as you wake up.
O’er
O’er the mountain and into the sea,
we will meet again just you wait and see.
O’er the hills and down into the lake,
we will meet again and memories we’ll make.
O’er my heart and into your love,
I’ll see you again, my sweet dove.
Nothing
I could write nothing,
Leave the page blank, say nothing.
I could be nothing,
Live alone and love nothing.
I will never be nothing.
Haiku: Office Dream
Cherry blossom dream
feeling the flakes of snow fall
back in the office
Haiku: Pride
A feeling of pride,
admiring your collection;
the dead butterflies.
For Emma

Today would be Emma’s 16th Birthday.
When Emma died in June last year, well, I don’t think I have felt anything worse. I have lost my Brother, one of my Uncles, and my Father; however, if I had a child, I think losing Emma would be like losing a child.
Also, we had to put her to sleep, which hurts your heart like nothing else.
Emma will always be a part of our lives.
I wrote a Haiku for Emma. She was always trying to leave us when we would come home, so we had to arrive through the garage.
A paw on the glass
The key turns, open the lock
A pouncing welcome
Happy Chinese New Year!
A pounce then a paw,
the lucky tiger caught me
with a wild fur paw.
Contemplating my escape,
a Bah from the Sheep won’t do.
Haiku: Grey Day
a thing of beauty
sitting in the grey watching
the day drift away
