You ascended to the stars and watch the way your love lives her life on Earth.
You bestowed the gifts of moonlight for her eyes, shards of sunlight to bronze her skin, and snowflakes to keep her skin dewy.
You continued to adorn her with gifts until she returned to you.
the piercing sunlight
speak words of comfort to me
talk about the sea
show me pictures of nature
tell me the news isn’t real
The amber sun shines
over the still calm water
A perfect soft day
Dancing sunlight on your hair,
the smell of sandalwood in the air,
I swear, standing there, that there
is no one more beautiful or fair
as you, my love, standing there.
We put you away
in a draw where no sunlight
could dance upon you.
