Walking Vibes

Walking for the vibes
neighbours turn away from me
The vibes become mixed
Inverted cross on my tee
grey unbrushed hair on my head

Outside is Too Much

Walking ten feet in nature,
deciding that exertion is overrated –
The neighbours look over.

Taking this waddle inside
to find the coffee plunger unclean –
The sponge is too much.

Water runs into the kettle,
the electricity switch provides vibes –
My cup is ready to receive.

Freya

The touch of snow,
courage where once there was a desire to be unseen.

Despite their warnings,
a desire stronger than the old trees takes hold.

Walking towards the trees,
whispering from the dark and the light of your being.

Something otherworldly,
a name forms upon your lips as you fall: “Freya”.

Above your head

Walking up the street,
oblivious to the wind;
skirt above your head.

Very Short Story: The Snarl

08/05/202203/04/2022 C and K WordsLeave a comment

Spring is on the wind, flowers begin to bloom, and the day is new.

Walking to remember the Winter you cannot forget, walking to shed some of the much-loved Winter calories.

Passing by a new neighbour, the dog greets you with a smile and the neighbour a snarl.
