Night Thoughts
In the Winter dark of night
Standing alone under the starless sky
Insignificant in other’s minds
A sense of longing taunts my thoughts
hoping it will crush me and mine
I let the taunts try as the stars appear
Significant to the spirit within my shell
embracing the way the leaves fall
Winds blow around me, for I am home
Autumn’s End
Winter tells the Woods, “The time has come for you to leave Autumn behind.”
The Woods hear Winter, yet Autumn still calls from far away.
The trees understand Autumn’s end and shed their sorry leaves.

Copper Leaves
Copper leaves;
Only a few left now.
Autumn lost;
Winter found the Woods.
Deciduous trees stand;
Silent fog breathes still.
Copper leaves fall;
Trees now stand bare.

Dissipating Worries
A cappuccino with one sugar
sits on the sitting table beside the chair
waiting for lips to touch froth.
the forest cathedral around the house
moves and blows in the wild rain
and the wind tells all of her stories today.
A favourite blanket covers the old chair,
which sits near the logs on the fire
and warms clammy, squishy old buns.
The communion of two begins with a sip,
then continues until the sorrows
start to leave the witch's sweet light heart.
Constant Winter
Leaves of green etched into a black canvas,
white flowers mixed in for the forest spirit
and a sprinkling of snow upon the old trees.
If only those mythical flowers were real,
how they would frolic wickedly in the sun.
It’s over now, and the end passed me by;
never to feel Spring petals on my ice skin.
