Parchment paper lined wooden draws
the smell of vintage parcels hidden under our lingerie
Wooden smells mixed with the older smells
breathing in the scent of what we once were
Loving you with parchment paper lined wooden draws
parcels of scent and the smell of you close to me
You and I will be forever together in those draws
moving to our music
whispering kisses and parchment paper love scents
The way the branches long for each other,
look at how the moon hangs in the middle.
Such a pretty night, or is it a Winter’s day?
The fog-blue sky of Winter Dreams is cold.
Disturbingly filled with love by the branches,
abandoning protocol to rub against the trees.
In the end, we sit on a hill looking towards the sea.
There are no waves, and the air has a strange taste.
The trees whisper a dying plea, yet we do not have the strength to go on.
With a manic urgency, you say, “Give me your innermost confession so my soul may remember.”
I embrace you and say, “I’ve never liked endings, and I feel too much. Yet I cannot think of another way to spend my last day”.
Plush flowers of her bloom in her garden
Purple and indigo shades move in the air
Birds chirp and talk of Amore and kisses
Bees buzz and race to find the best buds
Swiftly dancing to a tune of uplifting sorrows
Sweetly moving in time to the sway of flowers
Beautifully broken souls,
beating hearts of the night.
Spirits begin to rise and fall,
the Souls burn blue so bright.
Within the midnight calm,
Forgetting in moonlight quiet.
We cherish the moonlit night,
wishing for love and kindness.
We love in a world
of offer and acceptance
Creating contracts
Our misguided intentions
lack of consideration
Ruined by the way he smells,
it’s been almost twenty-two years.
Still, I am ruined by his smell;
a soul forever close to my own.
You keep looking at me,
yet you cannot see it all.
There are holes in my heart and
voices of my ghosts in my head.
Feelings today may swish and
sway as feelings change often.
All I have is my love for you
and
my many poetic confessions
received
like falling snow.

The highlands call to us again

we’ll dance about; you’ll get grumpy and shout,

Sunlight dancing on the river
What mattered once has gone
Your face comes to me often
No tears for the loss of love
With you on a delightful journey
Alone, the struggle is exhausting
Sliding calmly into the river
Whatever mattered, I don’t care
