The Past

17/12/201814/02/2022 C and K WordsLeave a comment

You stare into the mirror, hoping for something different.

The person in the mirror is you, and you know who you are now.

It took the broken pieces of your past to come together, just like this mirror, for you to see clearly.

You look into the mirror and say, “Well, a bit of foundation will do.“

Sensibility and Sense

14/12/201814/02/2022 C and K WordsLeave a comment

Feet dipped into seawater,
naively she thinks.

Sensibility overcomes Sense,
uninformed feels.

Dreaming of make-belief,
unobtainable love.

She’d been caged for years;
uneducatedly, blind.

Sense overcomes Sensibility,
educated perspective.

Feet sit on the sea rocks,
reality sets within.
