The Music of Spring

nature’s harmony
musical notes from the plants
guided by the Bees

Sweet memories of
of the rose-coloured past.
They became dead roses.

Take my broken heart,
place it within a pot plant
watch my heart blossom

a playful shadow
intertwining and chasing
glimpsing a tail

leaves fall in the night
the thrum of the forest drums
wild tribal dancing

the wane of the moon
My past and the present go
a new beginning

an extreme heat day
social media pollutes
my dear optimism

on sunburnt country
thoughts of the fairy floss trees
the old cotton loom

The summer sun shines
singing of the joy to come
within the new year
