moving emotion;
making room for those lies you tell yourself.

Rain

Rain falls from the sooty clouds
to kiss the desolation we made.
They saw the rain contemptuously,
then they cried when it fell no more.
The clouds call the rain to fall again,
but only for the love of the land.
Colours
you come to bed at midnight in pieces
many colours on your vitreous skin move
you might be made of glass in this light
Mookaite skin colours move and change
you caress me as we become colours
A Summer’s Day

a soft lavender field moves in the breeze
a glass of wine for you
a bottle of apple cider for you
a gin and yuzu for you
a bottle of craft beer for you
a sweet way to end a long summer’s day
Citrine Dreams

gazing into the quartz
citrine dreams of old
golden brown sands
bold Pharaohs move
glorious queens shine
Summer Lovin’
sweet acidic grapefruit juice splashes
squeaky thongs on the kitchen floor
summertime lovin’ in the suburbs
Haiku: Monday Morning
Monday morning whirl
sky meets the train station lights
Autumn calms our hearts

Sea Days
Chirping as her chics move and splash about the shallows.
Crabs take their young for a salty dip or a crunchy nip.
Bluebottle jellyfish stranded on the sand feel the sun.
Shells move as the hidden ones hide from the noise.
Shelly bounces in the saltwater to find a colourful shell.
She sees a cute creature, pounces and misses.
Silliness takes over as she leaves tiptoe footprints in the sand.
Greed
Unrestrained ambitions push and pull at your ink heart;
a gun firing bullets of ambition at the sky.
Unintended victims suffer wounds that bleed your art,
a burning example of greed is good lies.
Unfeeling until karma splits your ambitious world apart.
Haiku: A new world
a new world for us
created from broken things
a new chance for us
