the vintage sunlit colours
a beach bikini

A pixie haircut
glowing skin and smiling eyes
pictures of what was

Now, afraid to speak
imprisoned from head to toe
the theocracy

The colours vanished
Mum’s smile now pale beige horror
of the living dead

a restless spirit
the unfulfilled potential
wandering alone
unable to move on home
keeping the trees company

Watching the leaves move.
He is eating something I would love
Why does he never share?

Walking with him is bliss.
To run and jump around is freedom
He seems sad about this

Wanting to be close at night
denied the comfort of his grand bed
I want to understand him

My human

within his garden
the many malformed flowers
so interesting

exhausted angel
slowly falls apart from war
a wing gone astray
hands lay still in the rubble
weeping tears of blood alone

We turn our faces
from the sun that burns our eyes
The sun will still shine
We turn ourselves from the one
full of seethe and destruction

watching the night sky
finding childhood memories
the remembering
feeling love for your siblings
the saucepan constellation

Caught by the sunlight
Mortar and Pestle pummel
a little pesto
Today you are Italian
flour footprints and sips of wine

an untamed hiker
legs followed by the body
conquering mountains
audacious and often rude
Kindness exchanged for the gifts

Snow falls on her face
Destiny has found her soft
a mirror image
The conqueror now conquered
They are both linked by the snow

Saturn comes for me
I watch myself start to change
Lost motivation
I am conscious of failing
Does the Law matter to me?
