No words of the sea
he never speaks of the sea
No love for the sea
I wither within his love
I hold the sea within me

My Rebellion
Another day of living
death waits for me to arrive
Living like an immortal
Another poem demands the pen
self-censoring my words
Living like I do not have a voice
Another unkindness, another war
my poetry is my rebellion
Living without the fear of censure
The Memory of Morning
Heavy and deep
morning shadows.
Trees out of focus,
Crisp stillness remains.
From the window,
hidden under covers deep.
My secluded view is clear
as Winter moves outside.
The scent of something fruity;
Lingering for a moment,
then fading into the clearing.
The memory of the morning.
Whispers to the Sea
Waves crash against the shore
as the sea rises to meet you.
Salty sea spray hits the shore,
stinging your eyes and soaking you.
Droplets of salty sea spray drip down,
down towards the seashore.
Salty storm clouds appear wild
as you whisper words to the sea.
Train Ride Home
Passing verdant hills
Dreaming between the gum trees
Longing for a hug
A Girl on the Train
A sweet-smelling scent
the beginnings of a sneeze
Too polite to turn away
Lush, cascading hair falling
pensive reflection in the window
Gorgeous amber silk skin
Her hair is a dream of my youth
I want to reach out and brush her hair
To remember my Mother’s love
A pretty young lady on the train
immersed within the mobile telephone
Yet thoughtful, regal, waiting
Coffee Cup
The scent of coffee
coffee cup meets frothy milk
Caressing my cup
Vanishment
Two dance amongst the flowers,
stepping small, soft, stately steps.
Touching fingers, nothing more;
lingering into the pastel sunset.
Two dance away to vanishment;
stepping softly into the starlight.
Gothic Pair
A gothic stare,
dark wild hair.
So lovely, fair,
a beautiful pair.
Glitzy & Giddy
Hand in hand
dancing in finery
giddy from drink
Glitzy amber dim lights
full of love down below
and up in the heavens
The dancing intensifies
a quickening tempo
feeling like letting loose
Side-by-side dancing
around the room foot to foot
gesticulating wildly
