You

Love yourself like the
flowers love the sun;
Feel the rays of light
upon your soft skin.

Blossoms

Blossoms colour the landscape,
walking along to the sound of rain.

Blossoms move and drip slowly,
lost in the reverie of petal colour.

Blossoms blush colourful shades
as the raindrops
playfully touch
soft petals.

By Yourself

Not everyone will understand your heart;
this will be your lesson and later a strength.
Don’t lose your heart to the goldfish mob.
Take your heart and guard it against the dark
as you embrace light through natural life.
Be yourself always, one day at a time.

A Glimpse

09/09/202303/09/2023 C and K WordsLeave a comment

The morning star lights the way
as the ships sail home to shore.

Nautical fears that hurt your heart;
now flee with the thoughts of home.

Yet the sea calls over to you again
as you succumb to the soft waves.

Sinking into salty the depths
to glimpse a Mermaid’s tail.

Colour & Canvas

So much colour
in the way
the sky
and
the sea collide.

Colours bleeding
together
in harmony
and
understanding.

So much chaos
in the colour
as no
canvas
is simple.

Twenty-Two Years

07/09/202303/09/2023 C and K WordsLeave a comment

Ruined by the way he smells,
it’s been almost twenty-two years.
Still, I am ruined by his smell;
a soul forever close to my own.

After the Storm

07/09/202327/09/2025 C and K WordsLeave a comment

Rain and hail batter the roof,
wild winds whip the valley to and fro
as thunderous heavens release.

Grey skies dry their sorrowful eyes,
clouds feel empty and light,
and the sun peeks out to shine bright,

releasing sunshine after the storm.

Sea Stars

06/09/202303/09/2023 C and K WordsLeave a comment

Moving into the night,
looking to the light of the moon.

Many colours the sky,
luminous copper pink seawater.

Missing your warmth,
listening to the waves we loved.

Magical sea like stars,
lights connect our sea and sky.

City & Night

Flickering sea colours
Soft phosphorescent flickering, sea colours rise into the night.

Illuminous coral colours
Heavy, subdued, luminous waves of sea colours wash across the city.

Melting sea colours
Light meets dark between the city and the night.

Beside You

04/09/202328/08/2023 C and K WordsLeave a comment

Standing under the sky
with you by my side.

The stars dance for us;
everything’s in motion.

Someone will promise
you everything desired.

I promise you nothing
in this moment in time.

We know not when the
hour will strike us down,
so I stand beside you.
