Cherry blossom dream
feeling the flakes of snow fall
back in the office

Very Short Story: Cherry Blossoms
A tree stood near our fence; we knew not what it was.
Winter came, then went, as Spring started anew.
The tree grew buds, which bloomed into flowers, as the
cherry blossoms moved and danced for us in that Spring.
Haiku: Infamy
The history books,
they tell of your infamy;
you destroyed the trees.
Leave a Note
One day I’ll forget
you,
me,
mum,
dad,
my sister,
my brother,
what we did,
what made me,
what made us,
this unique land.
Leave a note here,
place a note there,
post-it note me
like I’m a fashionista
from Paris, if you must.
Leave enough notes,
stick them on the fridge,
place them on toilet rolls,
put them in my shoes,
hide them in the undies
so I can remember
you and
so I can remember
me.
Haiku: Shitty Summer
Burning summer sun,
birds shit over the house, grass.
The flies laugh at me.
Haiku: Our Home
A place of our own
where we can be together.
Our haven, our home.
Haiku: Casual Exchange
casual exchange
under the old red gum tree
the memory fades
Kisses and Curses
In my bed dreaming,
dreaming about someone else,
a fictional someone else.
You sleep deeply and still.
Am I wrong to dream of another?
Another life, another lover.
In my bed awake,
awake thinking about kisses and curses,
wanting to touch you now.
Your Notes
You invited me to take a voyage on the notes you love.
We journeyed together, listening to the way songs changed over time; we embraced our favourites and kept an open mind.
Now, I remember you by a series of your favourite songs, which I sometimes play alone.
Haiku: This Land
Echoes of this land
blood, bone and broken dreaming
A song we know plays
