Sea Stars

Moving into the night,
looking to the light of the moon.

Many colours the sky,
luminous copper pink seawater.

Missing your warmth,
listening to the waves we loved.

Magical sea like stars,
lights connect our sea and sky.

City & Night

Flickering sea colours
Soft phosphorescent flickering, sea colours rise into the night.

Illuminous coral colours
Heavy, subdued, luminous waves of sea colours wash across the city.

Melting sea colours
Light meets dark between the city and the night.

Beside You

04/09/202328/08/2023 C and K WordsLeave a comment

Standing under the sky
with you by my side.

The stars dance for us;
everything’s in motion.

Someone will promise
you everything desired.

I promise you nothing
in this moment in time.

We know not when the
hour will strike us down,
so I stand beside you.

Sunset Kisses

The fading brilliance
of your brief sunlit kisses,
bright scars in the sun.

All I have

02/09/202327/08/2023 C and K WordsLeave a comment

You keep looking at me,
yet you cannot see it all.

There are holes in my heart and
voices of my ghosts in my head.

Feelings today may swish and
sway as feelings change often.

All I have is my love for you

and

my many poetic confessions

received

like falling snow.

Sky and Sea

01/09/202327/08/2023 C and K WordsLeave a comment

History in an image,
the past, present and future.

Sky colours moving,
colours swirling through us.

A story unfinished,
to rewrite the story of love.

His story moves in,
a story of the moving sea.

Sky and sea together,
you are so far away now.

Lasagna Whiskers

31/08/202328/08/2023 C and K WordsLeave a comment

Bechamel whiskers
caught with Lasagna on a paw

My Fern upended
a look of innocence with the Lasagna

Posing for a photo
creating a model from an image

Artistic inspiration
Morose, for this was all done before

Silence & Sound

30/08/202327/08/2023 C and K WordsLeave a comment

Deafening silence holds the moment
as the absence of music rattles you.

Without warning, the music begins
as a jolt takes your senses away.

All around, you feel the vibrations
of melodious cascading sounds.

The Writing Desk

Unable to concentrate.
Too much clothing inhibits the words,
so the bra hits the door.

Writing words remains elusive.
Words need more -,
so she takes off her dress.

Words start flowing fast,
nipples hang low to touch the desk,
a poetic masterpiece

falls from her pen.

Lost

lost in the tinted landscape
losing ourselves in tilted views
light fading from out tainted lives
