They did not want us
to touch the trees and the leaves;
Forbidden feelings.

Killer Tea Cosy
Visions of killer tea cosies haunt your tea making experience. Every night since Thursday, you dreamt of animal, building, and flower tea cosies leaping off teapots, then chasing you down and snuffing out your life.
It’s been so long since you tasted tea; why it’s only been one hour. Desperate to feed your addiction, you shake too many leaves into the teapot.
“It’s all wrong!” you shout as your favourite tea cosy waves at you.
Haiku: Late
You wanted to wait
Standing within the grey clouds
You hate being late
Haiku: My Pet
my sweet darling pet
a fluffy cute butterball
meowing I’m spoilt
Tanka: CC Heaven
excessive living
a candy-coated heaven
dreaming about us
solid gold shoes and silk socks
carried around by robots
Belly of the Beast
A misunderstood person.
A bitch to some, yet a lover and a fighter to a few.
When the time came,
there were no lights in the sky, nor any miracles.
From the belly of the beast
came forth a gift like no other;
a bundle of innocent magic, a gift of a dream.
Succubus
Obscured by darkness
Revealed by moonlight
Beauty amongst roses
Ugliness in those eyes
Purring for a night kiss
Lips cold as winter ice
Purple Orchid

Memories of the
pot plant on the window sill.
Mum’s purple Orchids.
Haiku: Green Dress
Favourite green dress
Worn until the cotton frayed
Another green dress
In Tandem
Walk with me,
walk by my side without judgement,
walk on the outside like Dad used to do.
Walk without the anger you always feel,
walk without scolding me in public;
I’m not perfect, and neither are you.
Walk-in tandem with me,
yet you never do.
We exist alongside each other,
unable to forget all the water
flowing under the bridge.
