The full sunlight on a late Summer’s day warms the house.
There is a feeling of change, for the sun is setting earlier, and a cool breeze touches the lounge.
Chloe feels the breeze move along her naked skin as she relaxes on a Saturday afternoon with a coffee and a book.
Haiku: The Kick
Disturbed by a kick,
wearing thongs, you take one off;
chasing after X.
Haiku: Watching the Sparrows
a tempting solace
watching the way the birds dance
in the backyard grass
Tanka: Angel
Falling from heaven,
cast out to live on the Earth
from the garden home.
A quizzical nihilist,
a career in law may do.
Haiku: The Old Tree
They kick an old tree,
then they stab the outer-bark;
sap tears start flowing.
Seaside
By the seaside, we stay
living our lives away.
We oft say “come what may“,
as we live for today.
Til the end of the play,
we’ll live only our way.
Tingling
Distracted.
Imagining you.
Tingling in untidy places.
The Fading Daylight
Sun intensifying,
a banana chair in view,
work time almost finished,
the day slowly turns into night.
You whisper, “Here you go, my dear…“.
I look back and say, “Thank you, my love, for the beer…“.
We sit in the concreted shade
until the last of the daylight fades.
The Bottom
Reaching for your hand,
you are so far from me,
trying to touch you in vain.
You reached the bottom,
no lower down to go,
nothing left for you to lose.
Reaching for your hand,
you seem closer now,
touching your warm hand.
Haiku: Matcha Gelato
Pure Green Tea power
Think of matcha gelato
sitting by the sea
