Between green and grey
you dance when no one is looking
feeling the lush wetness of moss, grass
moving within the rain beckoning wind
rolling about as grass gets into your hair

Cafe Dream
Sun-kissed cobblestones
terracotta places reminiscent of Italy
Plain trees longingly moving
feeling the heat of the clear azure day
coffee and cake on my own
Sunlight sends a scent
memories rush back from Gardenia days
thoughts of love, Jasmine
Forgetting my obligations
sipping coffee and watching people pass by
Lost in a dreamscape alone
Quilted Landscape
Persimmon, indigo, and blue
a quilted work on the landscape
Snow, a crisp understanding
a sunset turns towards twilight, the night
Haunted by the image of landscape
a measure of magic in this ethereal place
Longing for different vibrations
and feelings to come from the snow places
a dream of snow and imagination
Bathed in the last of the sunset twilight
vibrations of colour and snow
Leave me breathless in the dim moonlight
Black Swan
A lonely black swan
strict elegance and power
she comes back to life
Ballerina blurs in black
a human and a swan morph
You, Me, & the Sea

Naughty Wind
mercurial wind
the waste bins begin to dance
the cat’s fur is wild
bracing for an icy blast
hugging the protesting cat
Wading Daydream
Burning Summer heat
gems and jewels curl around your skin
A Poseidon kiss
Oblivious to reality
aqua sea, premonitions
A snake coils around your arms and hips
Something falls away
the past and the present meet
Your goblet drops, rolls
All the glory, love
you wanted to deny the sad truth
Love, a life no more
Bee and Flower
The bee comes closer
Stinging barb ready to shoot
Flower distraction
Bee buns stuck in the flower
Buzzing flower and pollen
Same Day
working away
no time for play
living in yesterday
hoping for a new day
it’s the same day
living this way
Between
Between 12:57 pm and 1:00 pm,
that is when free thoughts flow.
A few minutes of poetry thoughts,
unencumbered by duty and work.
Unnoticed rebellion from within,
words of resistance form loudly.
Burning away the expectation haze,
finishing a poem and filing it away.
Carrying the poem home,
sharing the poem alone.
