Pang of Regret

You are so far down.
The rose falls upon you, yet
you are so far down.

No more discussions
about what you did last week.
No more of your voice.

Now dead and buried.
A pang of regret grips me;
I missed seeing you.

Pink files surround me,
humidity on the breeze,
the overcast sky.
Sitting at my desk feeling
the winds of change are flowing.

My Week

At present, we are waiting for the humidity to break. I hope for the Autumn change to arrive.

I’ve been surrounded by pink files all week. You don’t know the stress involved in Property Law and Conveyancing until you experience the work.

It has been an intense week, which usually leaves me with nothing left by Friday night.

Add watching the war crimes in Ukraine, and I’m ready to leave my computer for a while and lay down.

A pounce then a paw,
the lucky tiger caught me

Contemplating my escape,

The hot desert sand.
Walking upon the sand of
countless burning rays.
The hot desert day turns to
night, as we worship the stars.

sweet forest dreaming
mythical marijuana
smelling something odd
nose twitching, ready to sneeze
waking to grass up your nose

Another year bye.
The heat of the new year burns
into our bodies.
A becoming something new
as we look to the new year.

Footprints in the sand
dancing to sounds of the sea
Fingering a shell
dancing into the wavelets
Forever my soft sea spouse

An old heart moving
against the Warragul wind,
to feel the cold rain.
Admiring the wild green hills,
slowly devoured by houses.

I gave you my youth
I give you all my wrinkles
My youth, My wrinkles
I gave, and I give all I
have without expectations
