Keeping the silence
Silent controversial words
Hiding all my words
Cracks appear in the silence
Words begin to pour away
The Fence
A straight division
Once we had hugs and kisses
Now pillows divide
When did we put up the fence?
Lamenting what we once had

a comb from long ago

looking at what was and what might be
a kindred familiarity
a plea to the heavens
reboot my life so that I am not related to these people
looking in the mirror and seeing my mother
using “the voice”.

Winter has found us
Autumn took a vacation
for a hint of Spring
A wind moves from off the snow
Hygge weekends with you and books

We speak in flowers
We gaze on life through art
We hear the rustle
of a song beginning to
play from a place we forgot
Jar of our Love
the jar of our love
when we met, the lid was sealed
then wheezing began
one day the lid blew skyward
you looked pale; I looked startled
To be a Prince
weighed down by duty
constrained by formality
you retreat from sight
contemplating the roses
gazing upon the free stars
Moonstruck by Shadows
Captivated by an aura
Movements in the moonlight
Sea shadows hypnotise
Feeling the sand consuming
Ghostly ships appear
Whispers from dead sailors
Sirens calling from the depths
She is moving closer
Calling out for answers
No one stirs in the moonlight
Tea
A coming to be
beginning understanding
