Grass moves with the wind
Granting myself peace to dream
From the train window

Two + The Sea
o’er the grassy sand dunes,
we went tumbling towards the soft sea.
you and me together,
two carefree lovers looking for free.
rolling until we stop,
out of breath from laughing with the sea.
you and I are running,
never stopping until you can see.
standing on the Skerry,
looking towards you, the azure sea
I don’t want to be free,
I want you to be a part of me.
Green
plants in the office
reaching for the pinnacle
watching the plants die
the boss wants to have a word
the colour green is too much
Flowers
an urge for flowers
gigil at the croaking frogs
dance to the birdsong
throw your clothes to the four winds
unconstrained at the gardens
Forest Queen
The forest listens for the vibrations of music;
soon, the time will pass, and she will come.
The music of her love for them starts to play;
sad faces brighten as feet touch the soil.
The dancing to honour the forest and her loves;
she spins and twirls with the Fireflies tonight.
The trees never stir as the fire burns along;
they stand tall, watching and listening.
Micro Sea Poem
Have you ever seen the grass move like waves of the sea?
Even here, the sea is never far from you and me.
Memories
the quiet path
waiting inside for forever
the car arrives
fabric moves around her
the old church
whispers on the breeze
their eyes link
intense waves of loving
they commit
serious words of promise
together now
scents of the garden
become memories
Remembrance Day
my thoughts by the sea
to think of all the Poppies
stained with tears and blood
Soul Lake
a brooding still lake
pervasive thoughts overcome
all who see the lake
the dead wait in the dark depths
for the living to join them
Becoming Friends
a bell rings in the distance
silence around the void
another bell begins to ring,
ring, ring, ring, ring, hiss
a peek from under the table
growling as the void arrives
a stand-off fit for cinema
the cats start getting uppity
ring, ring, ring, ring, meow
they retreat to hide all night
